Solenoid valves are a very common control component, widely used in industry, agriculture and daily life, such as air conditioning systems, water supply equipment and automation equipment on production lines. Although it is small in size and simple in structure, it often encounters some problems during use, which is a headache. Today, let's talk about the common problems that solenoid valves may encounter during use and how to solve them.

1. What should I do if the solenoid valve does not work?

Problem manifestation:

The solenoid valve does not respond and cannot be opened or closed.

Possible causes:

Power failure: The solenoid valve needs to be powered on to work. If there is a problem with the power connection, such as the wire falling off, poor contact or insufficient voltage, the solenoid valve will not work properly.

Coil burnout: Long-term use or abnormal voltage may damage the coil, thereby losing electromagnetic attraction.

Piston stuck: If the piston inside the solenoid valve is stuck by impurities, the valve will also be unable to move.

Solution:

Check the power supply: Confirm whether the power supply is normal, whether the line connection is firm, and whether the voltage meets the requirements.

Check the coil: Use a multimeter to measure the resistance value of the coil to confirm whether it is burned out. If it is damaged, a new coil needs to be replaced.

Clean the valve body: disassemble the solenoid valve, clean the impurities inside, and ensure that the piston can slide freely.

2. What should I do if the solenoid valve leaks air or water?

Problem manifestation:

The solenoid valve still leaks media when it is closed, such as air or water leakage.

Possible reasons:

Aging of seals: Long-term use will cause the seals to wear or age and lose their sealing properties.

Wear of valve core: The fit between the valve core and the valve seat is loose or the surface is damaged, which will cause media leakage.

Improper installation: If the position of the solenoid valve is offset or the bolts are not tightened during installation, it may also cause leakage.

Solution:

Replace the seal: If the seal is aged, replace the new seal ring in time.

Check the valve core: Observe whether the valve core is worn or deformed, and replace the new valve core if necessary.

Reinstall: Check whether the installation is in place and ensure that all connections are tightened and sealed well.

3. What should I do if the solenoid valve is slow or stuck?

Problem manifestation:

The solenoid valve moves slowly and jams when opening or closing.

Possible causes:

Internal impurities: After long-term use, dirt or particles may accumulate inside the valve body, hindering normal operation.

Insufficient lubrication: Lack of lubrication of internal components increases the resistance to movement.

Temperature influence: Too high or too low ambient temperature will affect the operating efficiency of the solenoid valve, especially in some low-temperature environments, the valve body may freeze.

Solution:

Cleaning the valve body: Disassemble the solenoid valve regularly and clean the internal impurities.

Add lubricant: Apply a proper amount of lubricant to the moving parts to reduce resistance.

Adjust the environment: Make sure that the use environment is suitable for the working range of the solenoid valve, and insulate or dissipate heat for the equipment if necessary.

4. What should I do if the solenoid valve makes a lot of noise?

Problem manifestation:

The solenoid valve is accompanied by "buzzing" or other abnormal noises during operation, affecting the use of the equipment.

Possible causes:

Voltage fluctuations: The solenoid valve coil may vibrate and make noise when the voltage is unstable.

Loose parts: The components of the solenoid valve are not installed firmly, which will cause resonance during operation.

Valve core problems: The valve core is worn or moves unsmoothly, which may also cause abnormal noises.

Solution:

Stabilize voltage: Check the power supply voltage and use a voltage stabilizer to ensure stable power supply if necessary.

Reinforce components: Check the installation of the solenoid valve and tighten the loose parts again.

Replace parts: If it is a valve core problem, replace the new valve core.
