Air source processing components are crucial components in pneumatic systems. They are responsible for purifying compressed air, removing impurities, moisture and oil mist, and ensuring the stable operation of pneumatic equipment. Common air source processing components include air filters, pressure reducing valves and oil misters (collectively referred to as air source triplexes). 1. Functions of common air source processing components

Air filter

Function: remove moisture, dust and impurities in the air to prevent pneumatic components from being contaminated and damaged.

Function: stabilize the air source pressure to prevent air pressure fluctuations from affecting the operation of pneumatic equipment.

Oil mister (lubricator)

Function: atomize and transport lubricating oil to pneumatic components to improve the lubrication effect of the equipment and reduce friction and wear.

2. Installation method of air source processing components

Installation location

It should be installed at the main air source inlet of the pneumatic system, close to the pneumatic equipment, to avoid pressure drop or contamination caused by long-distance pipeline transportation.

The filter is usually installed at the front end, followed by the pressure reducing valve, and finally the oil mist device to ensure that the air is purified first, then stabilized, and then lubricated.

Installation steps

Air filter installation:

When connecting the inlet and outlet, it should be installed according to the marked airflow direction.

The bottom drain should face downward for manual or automatic drainage.

Pressure reducing valve installation:

Connect to the outlet end of the air filter, adjust the knob clockwise to increase the pressure, counterclockwise to reduce the pressure, and lock the knob after adjusting to the appropriate value.

Oil mist device installation:

Connect after the pressure reducing valve, adjust the oil volume knob to ensure that the lubricating oil is evenly atomized and distributed to the pneumatic equipment.

Installation precautions

Ensure that the inside and outside of the pipeline are clean to prevent impurities from entering the air source treatment component.

Use pipes and joints of the correct specifications to avoid air leakage or loose connections.

Avoid high temperature, high humidity, and corrosive environments to avoid affecting the life of the air source treatment component.

 

3. Maintenance methods of air source treatment components

Air filter maintenance

Regular drainage: Check the water storage cup at the bottom and drain the accumulated water manually or automatically.

Clean the filter element: Filter element clogging will reduce the filtering effect. You can use a detergent to rinse or replace the filter element regularly.

Maintenance of the pressure reducing valve

Check the pressure value regularly to ensure that the output pressure is stable and avoid equipment damage due to abnormal pressure.

Prevent gas leakage: Check the pressure regulating knob and seal ring, and replace them if damaged.

Maintenance of the oil mist device

Refill lubricating oil: Use special pneumatic lubricating oil to avoid equipment damage caused by oil incompatibility.

Clean the oil cup: After long-term use, the oil cup may accumulate impurities and needs to be cleaned regularly.
